(June 13, 1931 - April 21, 2012)

Flora Rose (Hagar) Krevo died at her home between Cody and Powell on Saturday, April 21, 2012. She was 80.

Rose was born June 13, 1931 in the mountainous wildwood of Uniontown, Pa. She was the daughter of Wendell E. Hager Sr. of Farmington, Pa., and Emma Drews Hagar of Uniontown, Pa. Rose was the second of five children (Wendell Hagar, Jeannie Chick, Margie Eaton and John Hagar).

She graduated in 1949 from Norwin High School in Irwin, Pa. Two years later, at the age of 20, she met the love of her life, Michael Krevo of Export, Pa., and was married Aug. 29, 1951 at the Long Run Church in Circleville, Pa. They had 60 wonderful years together.

She was a mother, a homemaker, a seamstress, a musician. Rose was a woman of God who modeled daily for her family the true meaning of Biblical womanhood — belief in Christ, obedience to him and his word, nurturing and caring for her family and friends. Music was the passion of her life in which she was gifted to sing and play praises to the Lord. Sports were also an integral part of her life, and she was a long supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and in recent years the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Her love and commitment to family is evidenced by the legacy she has left and how she will truly be missed. Rose was a woman of inner beauty manifested through laughter with pure joy only evidenced by a life of intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Preceded in death by her father, Wendell Sr.; mother, Emma; brother, Wendell Jr.; sister Margie; and son Mark.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Krevo of Powell; daughter, Deborah (Krevo) Stambaugh and son-in-law, Kenny Stambaugh of Cody; granddaughters, Kimberly (Stambaugh) Zierlein and Auggie Zierlein of Powell; sister, Jeannie Chick and brother, John Hagar of North Huntingdon, Pa.; and one great-grandchild.

There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27 at the Cody Missionary Alliance Church.

An online guestbook is available at www.ballardfh.com.
