(Aug. 18, 1924 - May 24, 2006) Elsie Fink Meier, 81, died Wednesday afternoon, May 24 at the Billings Clinic of complications following open heart surgery. She was born Aug. 18, 1924 in Lovell, the daughter of Fred and Louise Platsick Fink. She married Harold S. Meier, April 25, 1941 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Billings, Mont.She farmed alongside her husband for many years east of Lovell. She worked in the dietary department for the North Big Horn Hospital for many years before retiring in 2000 at the age of 75. In 2003 she moved to Basin, Wyoming.She was preceded in death by her husband Harold and granddaughter Theresa Zo Scheeler. Elsie is survived by three sons, Edd L. Meier of Sahuarita, Ariz., Gary A. Meier of Basin and Donald S. Meier of Basin, WY; two daughters, Dolly L. Raber of Phoenix, Ariz., and Adele J. Lewis of Oro Valley, Ariz.; one brother, Herbert Fink of Lovell; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30 at 1p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Lovell with Rev. Christopher Brandt officiating. Burial followed at the Lovell Cemetery. Haskell Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
