Homesteader Museum and the family of Edna Mae Scott invite the community to a Celebration of Life on Wednesday, June 17, at 1 p.m. at the museum.
Edna Mae Scott, a beloved aunt, friend, and Powell community icon, passed away peacefully at the age of 109 on Oct. 9, 2025 at her home in Worland, surrounded by family.
Edna loved the outdoors, especially rock and fossil hunting with her beloved husband, Walt.
She and Walt also enjoyed square dancing and traveled across Wyoming to perform and judge competitions.
Edna co-founded and was the “mother” of the Homesteader Museum. Her contribution to the Museum leaves a lasting legacy.
We look forward to seeing you to help us remember and share stories of our dear friend, Edna Mae Scott. As Edna once said about the secret to a long life, “Just live a good life.”
