Heading into Easter weekend, Powell’s churches will be holding services and activities April 17-20. Below is service information provided to the Tribune by press time:
St. Barbara’s Catholic Church will hold evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 6 p.m. on Holy Thursday. A Good Friday Passion Service will be at 3 p.m. A Holy Saturday Easter Vigil will be at 8:30 p.m. Mass will be at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
The Powell Church of God will hold a Maundy Thursday Service at 6:30 p.m. The sanctuary will be open from noon-1 p.m. on Good Friday for personal prayer and reflection. There will be an Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday morning followed by a worship service at 10:30 a.m.
Trinity Bible Church will be holding services at its regular times.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be holding services at its regular times on Easter Sunday. The Cody Stake will be holding a special program 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, 3-7 p.m. on April 18 and 3-7 p.m. on April 19.
Grace Point will hold a Good Friday Tenebrae Service at 6 p.m. An Easter Sunday breakfast will be at 9 a.m. with a worship service following at 10:30 a.m.
United Church of Powell will hold a Service for all the Senses at 7 p.m. on Maundy Thursday and a Journey to the Cross prayer walk at 7 p.m. on Good Friday. A Resurrection Sunday Service will be at 10:45 a.m.
Lovell United Methodist Church will hold a Service for all the Senses at 5 p.m. on Maundy Thursday and a Journey to the Cross prayer walk at 5 p.m. on Good Friday. A Resurrection Sunday Service will be at 9 a.m.
New Life Church will hold a Special Theology on Thursday with Pastor Tim Morrow at noon, “On The Physical Death of Jesus,” with Dr. Dean Bartholomew. A Good Friday service will be at 6 p.m. Easter Sunday services will be at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Glad Tidings Assembly of God will hold a Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m There will be a free Easter Breakfast from 9-10:30 a.m. and Easter Sunday service at 10:45 a.m.
Faith Community Church will join New Life for Church’s Good Friday Service at 6 p.m. Easter Sunday services will be at 7 a.m., 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. at Faith Community Church.
Victory Baptist Church will be combining Easter Sunday Service with Faith Community Church at 7 a.m. at Faith Community Church. This will be followed by a Bible study at 10 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. at Victory Baptist.
Hope Lutheran Church will hold an Easter breakfast at 8:15 a.m. on Easter Sunday followed by a worship service at 9:30 a.m.
Immanuel Lutheran Church will hold a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. and The Resurrection of Our Lord Easter Service at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday.
