Early summer programs start at Bighorn Canyon

The following programs are just the beginning and can be enjoyed on the South District of the park near Lovell:

 

Ranch Tours

July 11 and July 19 – Join MSU Intern Karson Mollett for a tour of the Ewing-Snell Ranch. Tours will start at 10 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. 

 

Ranger Programs

July 12 – Join MSU Intern Emily Clark on a guided walk at Sullivan’s Knob trail. Walk will start at 10 a.m. Learn more about the wildlife, birds and plants along the trail. 

July 18 – Join MSU Intern Adi Gamble at the Bighorn Canyon Visitor Center at 2 p.m. to learn about Pryor Mountain Wild Horses.

Geology 

Look for pop-up geology programs at Devil Canyon by VIP geologist Greg Jones throughout the summer.

 

Artist In Residence

Visitors are once again able to enjoy AIR Mike Hansen’s outdoor collection in the Bighorn Canyon Visitor Center. The painting exhibit will remain in the gallery through the summer.    

 

Kayak Program

The kayak programs schedule will be out soon. Staff will complete guide training in June and set up programs in July and August.
