Dorothy (Dode) Fulton passed away Dec. 1, 2021, at home surrounded by family and special caregivers.

Dorothy was born April 1, 1925, in Farmington, Kansas, to Leonard and Frances Sand.

She married Dock Fulton on Dec. 16, 1941, in Billings, Montana.

Dock and Dode moved to Heart Mountain in 1949 after drawing a homestead, and began their lives of successfully raising a family and farming.

Dock and Dode had seven children: Jake (Sharon), Frog (Dorothy), Linda (Dennis Eden), Tucker (Barb), Mike (Kim), Pidge (Cindy), and Janet (Tim Large). She had 36 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She is also survived by siblings Duane Sand, Keith Sand and Maxine Fulton.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Dock; sons, Jake and Tucker; siblings, Betty Knopp, Lola Robirds, and Lawrence Sand; daughter-in-law Kim Fulton, and granddaughter Marty Mooren.

Services will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Powell, at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Following the services and burial, there will be a gathering at the Mountain View Clubhouse, at 1000 Road 18, in Powell.

Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
