(Feb. 29, 1908 - Feb. 15, 2002) Dorothy Churchill Keagle, daughter of an early-day Powell family, died in Palo Alto, Calif., on Feb. 15, just two weeks after her 94th birthday.She was born in Wetherfield, Conn., on Feb. 29, 1908, to Levi and Grace Churchill and came to Powell in 1910 where her parents farmed on the Garland Division of the Shoshone Project.She was graduated from Powell High School in 1926. She married Lyle Keagle and lived in Powell for many years. In later years, she moved to Illinois and then to California to be closer to her children.In July, 2001, she returned to Powell to enjoy the alumni activities and to visit family here. She is survived by her children, Shirley Olsen of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Rev. Bill Keagle of Decatur, Ill.; and two grandchildren. Her sister, Marie Wallace of San Angelo, Texas, and cousins in Powell also survive her. Memorials may be sent to the Salvation Army or the Powell High School Alumni Association, Box 695, Powell, WY 82435.
