Dear editor:
I realize that there is a lot going on these days, and for many of us, things to complain about or support. But it seems to me we have forgotten about a very important and urgent matter — Putin’s invasion of the free and independent country of Ukraine. After several years of this horrific war, our president is still trying to appease and bargain with the Russian dictator. And while the Russians continue their bombing and killing of civilians, these two presidents claim that they just want peace. All the Russians need to do is to go home!
We — Americans and especially our political leaders — like to brag about our superior military strength and high ideals. Was a military victory over the small and impoverished country of Venezuela such a big deal? Or the big bombs dropped on, nearly defenseless Iran?
Isn’t it about time to put an end to this crazy conflict and send those bullies home — with WHATEVER IT TAKES to get the job done!
