Wheeler, 86, who died Monday, April 22 at Powell Valley Hospital.The Powell Veterans Honor Guard will provide military honors for Mr. Wheeler, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was born Feb. 23, 1916, in Pearl, Ill., to Daley and Maggie (Smith) Wheeler. For many years he worked for Pan American Oil Company, later to become Amoco Production Co.Survivors include his former spouse, Elizabeth Hazelhorst of Powell; two sons, Mike Wheeler of Powell and Donald Wheeler of Arizona; a daughter, Deborah Adams and husband Ken of Washington; two brothers, Forrest (Bud) Wheeler and wife Marge of Powell and Floyd Wheeler of Montana; and two sisters, Georgie Baldwin and husband Dick of Montana and Eileen Harmon and husband Marion of Powell. His parents preceded him in death.Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home.
