The Big Horn Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution will meet Saturday. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. at the 8th Street Ivy Banquet Room in Cody.
The guest speaker will be Sandy Pedersen, who will speak about her military experience.
Guests are welcome, as is anyone interested in researching a possible American Revolutionary heritage.
A no-host luncheon will follow with a selection of three menu items offered.
Local DAR members celebrated the Big Horn Chapter’s 14th anniversary in October. Charter members Virginia Harris and Karen Bree were in attendance and talked about the history of the chapter’s formation.
The Big Horn Chapter currently has 50 members. Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to join.

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution was chartered in Washington, D.C., in October 1890. The millionth member was accepted into the society on October 2019. Wyoming DAR has over 500 members.
