Aubrianne Crosby of Cowley, a graduate of Rocky Mountain High School, was one of five participants to win a $1,000 scholarship on Friday — the second night of preliminary competition at the 63rd Distinguished Young Women National Finals.
The $1,000 cash award was presented to five of the 50 state representatives receiving the highest scores on their performance of a choreographed aerobic fitness routine.
The event is usually held in its founding city of Mobile, Alabama, but this year, due to COVID-19 safety precautions, it was conducted digitally in a three-night online presentation.
She is the daughter of Brett and Desiree Crosby of Cowley and will attend Northwest College in the fall.
