Shoshone National Forest Fuels and Fire personnel will conduct a prescribed burn on the Clarks Fork Ranger District near Dead Indian Campground on Thursday.
The project, approximately 50 acres in size, is intended to reduce fuels, provide fire breaks and to enhance meadows and wildlife habitat diversity, forest officials say.
Smoke may be visible throughout the area until potential moisture moves in this weekend.
