Cody Regional Health Foundation welcomes new board members

CODY — Cody Regional Health Foundation has added two new board members, according to a recent press release. Rebecca Blanksma and Lynn Rodgers joined the board for their first meeting in September. Each person will hold a three-year, renewable term.

Blanksma moved to Cody in 2014 after spending her foundational years in various states and countries overseas and obtaining a degree in economics from Ball State University. In addition to holding a Masters in Communication and Information Science, she has over 10 years of professional experience in technology and health care organizations and currently works for a global acquirer of vertical market software businesses. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy traveling and all the recreational opportunities Cody has to offer from mountain biking to running, and local arts and music events. With her background in developmental economics and as a Wyoming resident for 10-plus years, she is passionate about how high quality and accessible health care contributes to better community outcomes and is looking forward to supporting the mission of the Cody Regional Health Foundation as a board member.

“I’m thrilled to join the Cody Regional Health Foundation Board and am honored to be included in this organization," Blanksma said. "As a resident of Cody for more than 10 years, I’ve seen firsthand how accessible, high-quality health care strengthens our community and the ability for our residents to thrive in the place they call home. I’m so excited to be part of the Foundation’s mission to advance Cody Regional Health’s patient-centered care and the initiatives that ensure every member of our community has access to the excellent health care experience they deserve.”

Rodgers spent over 30 years in public accounting at a top 100 firm. She resigned her partnership to take on the newly created role of chief financial officer at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, also serving as interim executive director. She retired from the Center of the West at the end of 2022. Lynn’s previous nonprofit service includes terms on the boards of the Chattanooga Ballet, the Bethel Bible Village, and Girls, Inc. Girls, Inc. also awarded her their UnBought and UnBossed Award, named for former Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, honoring women who have made an impact on the lives of local girls and women in Hamilton County, Tennessee.

“One of the things Bill and I appreciate about living in Cody is having access to an excellent regional hospital, Rodgers said. "I believe that a robust health care environment is important to maintaining and growing a thriving community … I am honored to have been asked to join the foundation board and look forward to bringing my skills and interests together to assist the foundation in achieving its goals.”

“I am thrilled to welcome Lynn and Rebecca as our newest Cody Regional Health Foundation board members,” said Heather Stambaugh, foundation director. “They join a talented and passionate group of individuals committed to supporting the growth and advancement of quality health care at Cody Regional Health.”
