The Northwest Wyoming Board of Realtors has named Ty Pedersen as its realtor of the year and Eagle Recovery as the business of the year. Eagle Recovery went on to be honored as the business of the year for the entire state as well.
Pedersen was nominated for the honor by his colleagues at 307 Real Estate in Cody, who said he is “always willing to help and give to all new agents.” They described him as happy, giving, honest and hardworking.
A 2000 Powell High School graduate, Pedersen is involved with the Cody Lions Club and is the president of the Northwest Wyoming Board of Realtors and their Realtors for Kids charity. He and his wife, Erin, have three girls: Lydia, Ivy and Emma.
As for Eagle Recovery, nominating realtor Kathi Charles of Canyon Real Estate said “there isn’t a job that they can’t accomplish” at the towing and recovery company.
Mike and Carisa Wood started the business in 2005 with just one truck, but it’s since expanded to employ eight people with a fleet of eight trucks and a scene remediation unit.
“They have helped shape the Wyoming towing guidelines to create a safer, and better name for such businesses,” Charles wrote.
She added that Eagle Recovery maintains close relationships with government agencies and donates to many local causes, ranging from medical fundraisers to veterans. When COVID-19 hit, Charles said Eagle Recovery offered free toilet paper and hand sanitizer to the community — and at Christmastime, they donate a car to a family in need.
