Longtime Cody High School volleyball coach Keith Francik has been named as an inductee into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

Coach Francik will be honored at the NHSACA’s Hall of Fame ceremony on July 20-23 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Francik began his coaching career in 1969 at Urbandale High School in Urbandale, Iowa, then went on to coach at Worland High School and in Cody.

Noted for his success in volleyball, the coach had an overall record of 375 wins and 154 losses, including four regional championships, two state runner-up titles and five state championships.

During his coaching career, Francik was named the Wyoming Coaches Association’s Volleyball Coach of the Year six times, Conference Volleyball Coach of the Year five times, and Region 7 National High School Volleyball Coach of the Year two times.

In 1998, Coach Francik was inducted into the Wyoming Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He has been an active member of both the association and the association’s Hall of Fame Board of Directors.

“WCA wishes to congratulate Keith [Francik] on his outstanding contributions to Wyoming athletics and wishes him continued success as he coaches and leads the young people of Wyoming,” the association said in a statement.
