Graveside services are to be held at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche, S.D., on Saturday, July 28 for Clyda J. Raber Kasinger, 54, who died early Monday, July 23 in Casper after a brave battle with breast cancer.

She was born May 23, 1947, in Belle Fouche to Clyde A. and Darleen J. (Vitto) Raber. She grew up on a ranch outside Alzada, Mont., with seven brothers and sisters. She attended Robinson School and Hulett High School.

After graduating, she enrolled at the University of Wyoming where she studied to be a nutritionist. There she met Dale Kasinger, and they were married in 1966.

They then returned to his hometown of Powell in 1967 with their first child, Chris, to farm on the Willwood. Two years later, their second child, Clint, was born.

They were divorced in 1987, and Clyda eventually settled in Mills, where she met and was building a new life for herself with Charles Jeffcoat, when the cancer struck her.

She enjoyed reading, collecting antiques and tag sales, but especially enjoyed and was most proud of her grandchildren.

She will be missed by Charles Jeffcoat of Mills; her daughter, Chris Norris and husband Dave and their sons Levi and Dalton Norris of Powell; her son, Clint Kasinger and wife Dawn and their daughters Natalee, Maranda and Jessica of Powell; her mother, Darleen Raber of Bel Fourche, S.D.; brothers Ron Raber and Monte Raber, both of Bel Fourche, and Lloyd Raber of Alzada, Mont.; sisters Wanda Crozier and Cherie Richardson, both of Cheyenne, Marie Eby of Gillette and Roxie Fox of Belvedere, S.D.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation has taken place in Casper. The Funeral Home of the Northern Hills in Belle Fourche is in charge of arrangements.
