Plans for a fireworks display on July 4 that will be “a monumental event, a night to remember” are being co-directed by Clark residents Debbi Crews and Kristin Knopp.
They worked together for last year’s event and have “teamed up again to raise funds for an 250th anniversary Independence Day celebration with a $5,000 goal,” adding that, “We are looking for community support.”
The event is proposed to be held at the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center grounds.
The co-planners said there is a donation can at the Edelweiss Riverhouse and either one of them can be contacted for donations, too. Checks can be made out to “Clark Fire Department” with the notation, “Fireworks Fund.”
To help raise funding they have raffle tickets “with prizes valued at more than $2,700 and all by Clark residents.” Either Crews or Knopp can be contacted for tickets. There will be multiple chances to win, they said.
Prizes so far are listed as Highland ground beef from Rock Creek Ranch, a canvas oil painting by Travis Bunn (said to have a value higher than $1,500), handmade pottery by Susan Gaddis, a $200 gift certificate from One Call Home Pros for home improvement needs, a $25 gift certificate from JRP’s Rustic Oven, a $400 photo shoot by Agata Rad and a handmade patriotic quilt by Maria Sullivan valued at $200 plus.
