The Buffalo Bill Center of the West has temporarily closed to the public, but it will serve up free soup on Friday afternoon.
Quarts of soup will be given away from 4:30-5:30 p.m. to those who drive by the front entrance of the center.
“The community has supported us for over 100 years. As a good neighbor, we hope to return the favor for those who need help in this tough time,” center officials said in announcing the event.
The soup is available to anyone who needs it, with a limit of two quarts per vehicle. Approximately 100 quarts will be available.
“Take some soup for your family or for a friend, neighbor, or classmate who needs support,” said the organizers.
Organizers said they hope to continue the effort in the future, if possible, promising updates on the Center of the West’s social media feeds and website.
