Caroleen Ann Nicholson, 73, Cody, died Tuesday, Dec. 18 in a Billings, Mont. hospital.
She was born to Erwin and Nellie Crook on Feb. 9, 1934, in Great Bend, Kan., where she attended grade school. Her family moved to Cody, where she graduated from Cody High School.
She met and married Robert Nicholson and together they raised their six children on a farm at Burlington. In 1991, they returned to Cody to retire and enjoy their family and friends.
Caroleen loved to travel and spend time with friends, but she loved her family and her Lord Jesus more than anything else. She will be remembered lovingly as a good mother and a great grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Peggy (Johnathan) Peters of Bozeman, Mont., George (Kelly) Nicholson of Burlington, Nancy Johnson of Denver, Jerry (Monica) Nicholson of Burlington, Jim (Sarah) Nicholson of Cody and Mary (Cleve) Kingen of Rifle, Colo.; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Anita; her first son, Larry, who died at birth; son-in-law, Brian Edwards; and by her husband, Robert.
A memorial of her life will be celebrated at Victory Fellowship Church in Cody on Thursday, Dec. 27, at 11 a.m.
