(Nov. 7, 1921 - March 20, 2003) Beth M. Wollam, 81, a lifelong resident of Powell, died at the Powell Valley Care Center the morning of Thursday, March 20, 2003.She was born in Powell Nov. 7, 1921, to Glen Walter and Thelma L. (Baird) Sheets. She graduated from Powell High School with the Class of 1939. For many years she was employed at Leo's Cleaners as a seamstress. She enjoyed reading, sewing, country rides and her grandchildren.She is survived by her daughters, Connie Martin and husband Merwin and Diane Thornton, both of Powell; sons Larry Wollam and Rudy Wollam, both of Tucson, Ariz; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Her parents and a sister, Betty R. Osborne, preceded her in death.Funeral services were held Monday, March 24, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Powell with Pastor Jesse Sauskojus officiating. Pallbearers were Donnie Faxon, Jay Olson, Darrel Anderson, Floyd Osborne, Scott Gormley and Danny Walsh. Burial followed in Crown Hill Cemetery.Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
