Katherine Williams, beloved mother, grandmother, and guiding force of her family, passed peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 8, 2026, at the age of 96. She has now passed through heaven’s gates and is joyfully reunited with her husband, Keith Williams, who preceded her in death in 2007 and has been patiently awaiting her arrival.

Born July 3, 1929, Katherine lived through — and actively embraced — nearly a century of extraordinary change. She met each phase of life with strength, curiosity and devotion to her family. Together, Katherine and Keith built a life rooted in love, values and adventure, raising two energetic boys with patience, determination and humor.

Katherine was the steady center of the Williams household. She instilled discipline, compassion and responsibility, but most of all, she made her family feel deeply loved. She also fostered a lifelong passion for the outdoors, creating a life filled with hiking, camping, skiing and tolerated the boys (including Keith) biking, go-carts, motorcycles, fishing, hunting and offroading. They all cherished summer weeks spent at the family farm in Powell, Wyoming. These experiences became treasured memories for the family.

Katherine leaves behind a family who feels profoundly blessed to have had so many years with her. She is survived by her son Mark Williams (and wife Pam); her son Eric Williams and her grandchildren, Shelby and Alex (and wife Lexi).

Though saddened by her passing, Katherine’s family celebrates a life richly lived, a legacy of love, and the enduring impact she leaves behind. Her influence lives on in the values, resilience, humor and gratitude of all who knew her.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Katherine at 10 a.m. on May 16, 2026 at United Church of Powell.
