The annual Trapper and Panther Boys’ Basketball Camp will be held at Powell High School starting on Monday, June 23, and ending on Thursday, June 26. It’s a chance for kids to compete and improve their game under the guidance of Northwest College coach Andy Ward and PHS boys’ basketball coach Mike Heny, alongside some Trapper players.
Camp kicks off on Monday with registration starting at 8 a.m. followed by a morning session that will run from 9 a.m. until noon. That will include individual drills followed along with some competitions before breaking for lunch.
The camp resumes at 1:15 with shooting, before a camp lecture followed by games until 5 p.m.
That routine with the camp running from 9-5 will take place Monday through Wednesday, before a half day on the final day of camp.
The camp is open for grades 4-12 and costs $180. For more information, contact Heny at coachheny@gmail.com or Ward at andy.ward@nwc.edu.
Additional information including a pamphlet can be found on the Northwest College Trapper athletics website under the camps tab.
