Audrey Lavern Staker, 73, died the evening of Thursday, Oct. 3, in Powell.
She was born June 15, 1929, in Cawker City, Kan., to Frank T. and Eva M. (Lent) Gilbert. On July 30, 1949, she and Gib Staker were married in Toppenish, Wash.
Throughout their married life, they lived in Riverton, Colorado, and Utah and moved to Powell upon retirement. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Gib, of the family home; sons Craig Staker and wife Lorna of Wamsutter, and Kim Staker and wife Linda of Casper; daughters, Linda Parkin and husband Larry of Cody, Carol Nowlin and Rita Duty and husband Jarrel, both of Riverton; brothers Cary Gilbert and wife Carol of Burlington, Wash., and Lloyd Gilbert and wife Joann of Washington; sisters Janice Bessler and husband Roy of Powell and Barbara Germany and husband Joe of Arlington, Tex.; brother-in-law Keith Staker and wife Carolyn of Boise, Idaho; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, a son, Steve, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 10 a.m. at Miratsky-Easton Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately in Crown Hill Cemetery at another time.
Should friends desire, memorials can be made to the Wyoming Breast Cancer Fund.
