Audrey Colleen Short, of Powell, died on Sunday, April 22, at her home south of town, with her family at her side. She was 69.
Audrey was born on Feb. 28, 1938 at Mitchell, Nebr., to James and Florence (Brownell) Seiver. She moved to Worland with her family and married Eldon Short there on March 21, 1953. Five daughters were born to this union. They began their life together in Worland, until they later moved to Powell in the late 1960s.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, cardmaking, gardening, and camping with her family.
She is survived by daughters Karen (Bud) Boyles of Casper; Valerie (Frank) Matiella and Leslie (James) Kallem, both of Powell; Linda (Ben) Davila of Cheyenne; son-in-law Lester Clarke of Powell; brother James (Jeanette) Seiver of Powell; and sisters Sharon Horstman of Oklahoma and Verna Jo (Albert) Newton of Worland; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Delores Clarke; and granddaughter, Misty Ann Short.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, at 3 p.m. at the Southern Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bud Boyles, Frank Matiella, James Kallem, Ben Davila, Lester Clarke and Eric Short. Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Short, Ben Davila, Tommy May and Jesse Davila.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 24, from 5-7 p.m., and Wednesday, April 25, from 2-2:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
