Join the Powell Library and the Friends of the Powell Library for an open house for Anita Pilotte on April 6 from 10 a.m.-noon, as we thank our longtime friend who kept the Powell Friends Book Sale active. Come down for a piece of cake and the last chance to grab a bag of books for $3. This is the last day the book sale will be open as we prepare the library for moving into the Homesteader Hall at the Park County Fairgrounds.

The last day the Powell Library will be accepting book donations will be on Friday, April 5.

Stay tuned for exciting news and more information as we prepare to relocate for the building of the new Powell Library.

Park County Library will be celebrating National Library Week April 7-13.

Powell Library will be having a presentation by Wyoming Fish and Game Bear Wise Coordinator Mark Aughton on Staying Safe in Bear Country on Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m. 

Family Movie Night will be on Thursday, April 11 at 6 p.m. Come join the library for a fun family movie, popcorn provided.

Mary McKinney from Park County Weed & Pest will discuss how to manage weeds and pests and teach about native grasses and plants on Monday, April 15 at 6 p.m. 

Sign up for our Tuesday Book Discussion and join us on April 9 at 2 p.m. where we will be discussing “Cheaper by the Dozen” by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Cary. We also offer an evening book discussion on Tuesday, April 30 at 6 p.m. at the Homesteader Hall, where we will be discussing “Sold on a Monday” by Kristina McMorris.

Powell Library is offering Tech Tuesday with Chris. Sign up for a one-on-one session with Park County Library’s IT administrator who can help you with your device problems. Tech Tuesday will be on April 16, sign ups required.

Join us for Adult Craft Night on Thursday, April 18 at 6 p.m. to make Button Bouquets.

Join us on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. for Chair Yoga for Seniors.

We have a lot of fun activities planned for teens after school. Join us April 10 for Water Coloring with Pencils and April 17 for Perler Beads. On Early Release Friday join us at 2 p.m.; April 5 is Tea Light Lanterns, April 12 is Friendship Bracelets, and April 19 is Soap Carving. Stop by the library, check out our social media pages or calendar on our website to learn more about the activities for the week.

Powell Library has lots of fun filled activities for children. Join Ms. Renee every Monday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. for Baby & Toddler Time and every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for Story Time. Sign up to read to a dog on Monday, April 8  at 3:30 p.m. On Wednesday, April 10 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. join us for Flashlight Reading. On Wednesday, April 17 at 3:30 p.m., come participate in Roller Coaster Design. Join us for Lego Club on Tuesday, April 23 at 3:30 p.m. Join us for Homeschool Hour which will focus on writing with local author Cathy Ringler on Monday, April 22 at 2 p.m.

Also, if anyone is homebound, the library offers Books Beyond Boundaries, a service to deliver books to homebound residents. Contact the library for more information.
