On Sept. 22, 1951, Anne Marie was born in Torrance, California. She is survived by her two children, Jana Halter (Lexington, South Carolina) and Marc (San Diego, California), her five grandchildren, Trystan, Giana, Hunter, Neptune and Athena, her three sisters, Linda Wright, Cheryl (Chuck) Goessling (and their two sons, Ben and Kevin), Renee (Larry) Gaines (and their daughter, Desiree) as well as other numerous extended family members.

Anne Marie Louise Marcoux Beccia — a name with many aspects and history. Her parents were Rene and Mary Marcoux. She was French (on our father’s side) and Portuguese (on our mother’s side). Quite an international flavor in our family. She embraced all aspects of her heritage.

She grew up in Fullerton, California, and graduated from Fullerton Union High School and attended Fullerton Junior College. During her years there, she became interested in drama/theater. She participated in many school plays and truly had a gift. Her sense of humor was legendary! Also, in high school, she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and enjoyed it very much.

She married Patrick Beccia in September, 1977 and they welcomed their daughter, Jana, in 1980, and their son, Marc, in 1981. Jana married Dominic Halter and they have two children, Trystan (age 13) and Giana (age 11). Marc married Iliana Stockfeldt and they have three children, Hunter (age 15), Neptune (age 8) and Athena (age 8) — yes, twins!

Anne Marie’s greatest titles were “Mother” of her two beautiful children and “Grandma” to her five grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother — she raised two amazing, independent children on her own. She worked tirelessly to provide for her family — nothing meant more! Her greatest joy was her family. She is extremely proud of her children and her grandchildren. She always taught her children by way of example to work hard, persevere and care for those they loved.

Anne Marie was a woman of remarkable strength and determination. If she wanted something done — she did it. She had many creative outlets — quilting, needlepointing, knitting, sewing and thoroughly enjoyed them all. Our father always wanted four boys instead of four girls — he taught us how to get along in life — everything from changing a tire, rewiring lamps, fixing sewing machines, woodwork and other life skills and Anne Marie excelled at them all. She learned to sew, knit and do other crafts at the knee of our mother who was always there to teach a willing learner.

She had an amazing and dedicated work ethic. Her career as a mortgage broker spanned nearly 40 years — and some of those years were spent in Cody. She returned to California and then moved on to Colorado, Florida and returned to California and then ultimately to Powell.

Anne Marie had a wonderful, easy smile and made friends from the time she was able to walk and talk. A smile was her best friend and she would give it willingly and without hesitation — always — and she always knew when someone needed a smile or a hug ... such a gift.

Her gift of making friends wherever she went was sent from God. Whenever she went anywhere ... she would always say: “I think I know that person." Sure enough — it could have been someone from years ago or months ago and it didn’t matter where she was — Powell, Billings, Los Angeles — it was one of the most favorite traits about her. And oftentimes, when she didn’t know that person — she would make a new friend.

She loved music and if you spent any time with her, you know she hummed all day long. Her favorite Beatle was Paul, but she also enjoyed all different types of music — from country to rock to classical to spiritual, but her all-time favorite song was “Amazing Grace” followed closely behind by “Old Rugged Cross.”

Her door was always open — she was warm and welcoming to all. One of her true joys was to prepare dinner for family, friends, neighbors and relatives — and if someone needed a meal, her kitchen was at the ready for them. She liked nothing better than to serve those in need. Service was another one of her many gifts and her ministry in her walk with God.

As a Christian, her faith was extremely important and carried her throughout her life. When she moved to Powell, she found “Glad Tidings” and Pastors Mike and Becky Walsh — she was home! This was her new family and everyone in this church was her friend. She found great spiritual inspiration, comfort and blessings to be a part of this family. You all need to know how much she thought of you. Thank you for your friendship, fellowship, being with her and there for her always.

Though her family and friends will miss her deeply, her love, strength and the lessons she shared and examples she set will live on through the generations she leaves behind. Her life is marked not by seeking recognition but by quietly earning it.

Anne Marie always said that she loved living in Powell, Wyoming, and that this was her home forever. And, as we all know, it was.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Glad Tidings Church.

"We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)
