Wade and Kayla Barnard of Powell announce the marriage of their daughter, Amy JoAnn Barnard, to Juan Miguel Hernandez Gomez, son of Anibal and Martha Hernandez.
The couple met on a blind date through a mutual friend in 2024 and corresponded in the months following. Amy and Juan were wed on Jan. 10, 2025 in Bogota, Colombia in an outdoor wedding with both the bride and groom having 12 wedding attendants made up of friends and family.
The bride’s gown was beautifully altered by her sister, Chandra Jacobs, with flowers throughout.
Juan and Amy reside in Bogota.
