A University of Wyoming legend has secured his NFL bag.
Former Cowboy quarterback Josh Allen signed a six-year, $258 million contract extension with the Buffalo Bills on Friday. The 25-year-old signal caller is guaranteed $150 million as part of the deal.
Allen had his best season in 2020-21, throwing for 4,544 yards and 37 touchdowns, leading the Bills to the AFC Championship Game. He made his first Pro Bowl appearance that season as well, completing nearly 70% of passes throughout the season.
Before his pro days, Allen was a two-year starter behind center for UW. He led the Cowboys to two bowl games and a Mountain West Conference Division title in 2016. His college success paved the way for Buffalo to select Allen seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
