The Albertsons new approach, which flows traffic into a parking lane instead of between lanes like originally, was fully opened Tuesday as construction work on the west side continues to move out of town. According to Wyoming Deartment of Transportation Resident Engineer Todd Frost’s weekly update, the one lane closure on the north side of the roadway has been shortened down from Mountain View Street to Road 10. This one lane closure on the north side of the roadway will be removed later this week as concrete reaches strength. All concrete has been placed on this side of the roadway.
The one lane closure on the south side of the roadway has been extended from the beginning of the curb and gutter section on the west end of the project to Edmonds Street. It will be lengthened to Cheyenne Street later this week. The west end will be shortened up to Road 10 later in the week as work progresses east and concrete reaches strength.
The speed limit will remain 25 mph through these lane closures.
