A weeklong celebration kicked off Monday, Sept. 11, as The Heartland Assisted Living facility celebrates National Assisted Living Week. We will honor this year’s theme, “Season of Reflection.”
National Assisted Living Week was created by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995 to recognize the role of assisted living in caring for America’s seniors and individuals with disabilities. The annual observance inspires assisted living communities around the country to offer a variety of events and activities to celebrate the individuals they serve, as well as to help educate members of the public about this distinct aspect of long-term care. For more information on National Assisted Living Week, visit ahcancal.org/NALW.
The Heartland Assisted Living facility is home to 19 residents and is one of Powell’s best kept secrets! The Heartland provides a safe community designed for the ultimate comfort of our residents. We embrace a holistic approach to preserve the independence of our residents, with access to care, socialization, activities, and events that promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Our personalized services provide an environment to help residents live life to the fullest!
This year’s National Assisted Living Week allows us to reflect on the seasons of our lives and special moments together! We will have an opportunity to reflect on the strong familial connection between Heartland residents, family, friends, and staff.
We will celebrate the week with several events including “Where were you when the world stopped turning?” — reminiscence with the residents, special meals, dress up days, group pictures, a family fun evening with games and a car show to end the week. The community is welcome to join us and can find our schedule of events on our website at pvhc.org/service/assisted-living
We are excited to create and reflect on special memories and moments with our residents, families, friends, and team!
The Heartland assisted living facility has 23 apartments, and currently 19 residents reside here. Please contact any member of our Heartland team at 307-754-7703 or you can go to our PVHC website at pvhc.org and click on The Heartland assisted living link.
