A brilliant, dazzling display of fireworks blasted into the night sky in Clark on Saturday, July 4, as residents and visitors celebrated 250 years of freedom and especially the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1776.
The rockets were ignited for approximately 45 minutes by the Clark Volunteer Fire Department at the station. The brilliant display was viewed by many from the grounds of the Clark Pioneer Recreation Center while others watched from their cars along Canyon Road.
Besides the colorful show with Bennett Creek Buttes in the background, more than a few Clarkites detonated their own shows of colorful explosives. Debbi Crews and Kristin Knopp received thanks from watchers for their efforts to raise funding for the main display.
Throughout the pyrotechnic extravaganza many “oohs” and “ahhs” were heard with “God Bless America” prevailing at the conclusion of the presentation.
