The Big Horn Basin Handbell Concert will unite six handbell choirs from across the Basin at 3 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Powell for a joint concert.
This means that a total of 50-70 handbell ringers will, with two to five octaves per choir, unite to perform a “Processional on Lancashire” arranged by Lloyd Larson.
“Lancashire” was originally composed in 1836 by Henry Thomas Smart, and arranged by Lloyd Larson.
Each of the six choirs were invited to perform one or more individual pieces and all choirs will unite to perform the processional accompanied by Judy Showalter on the organ.
All are invited to attend the free concert.
