Elenora ‘Nonnie’ Robbins

Elenora “Nonnie” Robbins, 92, of Powell, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Powell Valley Care Center.

Elenora was born in Powell on Feb. 26, 1919, to Alve and Leah (Johnson) Herboldsheimer. Elenora was the seventh child of a family of eight children. Elenora attended grade school and Powell High School. On Jan. 18, 1938 she married Bain L. Robbins in Joliet, Mont. She worked at different cafes, motels and the Powell bean mill.

Elenora is survived by four children: daughter Elva Lee Kauffman of Gillette; sons Gary (Carolyn) Robbins of Worland, Marty (Jeanette) Robbins of Rapid City, S.D., and John Robbins of Powell; brothers Lloyd Heimer of Powell and Willard Heimer of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren, 16 great-grand children, and 14 great-great grand children.

Elenora was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Ada Jinks, Alma Bunn, Winnie Kindler and Mae Eaton; brother Dan Heimer; grandson Bain Robbins, great-grandson Michael Kelley, and granddaughter Tanna Sue Reed.

Memorial donations in Elenora’s name may be sent to Ronald McDonald House, 1144 N. 30th St., Billings, Mont., 59101.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, at Crown Hill Cemetery in Powell.

Ballard Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
