Kerby A. Brandon, 47, died Friday, Nov. 13 at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings with his family and friends at his side.
He was born in Cody on Dec. 2, 1961 to Clinton and Donna (Davidson) Brandon.
Kerby owned and operated a pipeline construction company, Brandon Construction, as well as a heavy-equipment leasing company, T & H, that operated in Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota.
He enjoyed being in the mountains — hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, riding his Harley, scuba diving, snowmobiling and spending time with his family and friends. He spent a great deal of time at the family cabin in the Beartooth Mountains, and he enjoyed traveling. He especially loved the time that he spent with his sons doing the outdoors things that they all enjoyed. Kerby had his pilot’s license and loved flying in his Cirrus SR20 airplane. No adventure was too big or too small for Kerby — he enjoyed them all. Kerby was a kind and generous person who he enjoyed giving to others. In the end, a person is known only by the impact he or she has on others — Kerby touched many lives.
Kerby is survived by his sons Trevor and Hayden Brandon; his mother Donna Brandon; grandmother Regarda Brandon; sisters Klinette Brandon and Kristy Lamus(Federico); nephew Tyler Brandon; niece Kalin Lamus; and his fiancé Bonnie Nygaard and her children Jared, Jessica, and Brittney. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and the mother of his two sons, Kimberly Brandon.
He was preceded in death by his father Clinton Brandon; his grandfathers Robert Brandon and Alistar Davidson; and his grandmother Alice Davidson.
Kerby’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caregivers at the Powell Hospital, the Life Flight, and the St. Vincent Hospital ICU.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Nelson Auditorium at Northwest College. Please come dressed in your jeans, the adventure clothes Kerby loved.
Following the service, a potluck luncheon will beging at 11:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions can be made in Kerby’s name to the Northwest College Foundation or to the Heart Mountain Volunteer Medical Clinic.
