Memorial services for Richard Herbert Bartman, 63, who died Friday, Nov. 25 in Powell, will be Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at First
Baptist Church in Powell, 550 Kattenhorn Drive.
He was born Feb. 12, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., son of Matthias Bartman and Louise (Boening) Bartman. He completed a high school education and served two tours of duty with the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He married Christine Clare in California on Oct. 9, 1971. They lived in Newberry Springs, Calif., where he was self-employed.
The family moved to Wyoming where he found great contentment and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He built and flew his own “Murphy Rebel” airplane, and he had just completed building his home. He lived life to the fullest.
He was loved and respected by his family, church family and friends. He will be sorely missed, but because he loved the Lord Jesus as his Savior, the family can rejoice that his appointed time has released him from this earthly home to be in the arms of his Heavenly Father.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Christine Bartman; a son, Anthony (Ronda) Bartman; a daughter, Angela Williams (John); two brothers, Ed (Lois) Bartman and Bob (Val) Bartman; a sister, Joan Bartman; and six grandchildren, Nicholas, Madalyn and Hannah Bartman and Victoria, Benjamin and Stephen Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pastor Jesse Sauskojus will officiate at memorial services. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
