Jacqueline (Jackie) Winscott

Funeral services were Wednesday in Kimball, Nebr., for a former Powell resident, Jacqueline (Jackie) Winscott, 82, of Kimball.

She died Saturday, July 7 in the Nebraska city.

Her husband, the Rev. J.D. Winscott, began a ministry for the Assembly of God Church in Meeteetse in the mid 1940s, and they lived in various places in Wyoming and Montana during their years in the ministry. She was a constant help and support in his ministry, often playing piano for church services.

During years in Powell, she worked as secretary-bookkeeper for the Castberg Agency, real estate and insurance, and for the Willwood Irrigation District.

They moved to Kimball in 1975 where they served the Assembly of God Church for two years before retirement.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Winscott of Kimball; one son, James D. Winscott of Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Barbara S. Schoonover and her husband Richard of Springfield, Mo., Patricia A. Vandiver and her husband Ken of Kimball and Donna Groskopf and her husband Dave of Camano Island, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
