Jean Eaton Holt, 95, a homemaker, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 in Decatur, Texas.

Jean was born Nov. 11, 1915 in Comanche, Texas to D. F. and Fannie (Epperson) Eaton. She married Clyde Edward Holt on June 25, 1943 in Marietta, Okla., and was married 67 years at his death on Feb. 28, 1995. 

Jean attended Texas Tech University and served as a Women Airforce Service Pilot (WASP) during World War II.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Clyde Edward Holt and his wife, Penny, of Decatur (formerly of Powell); grandson, Justin Edward Holt of Dallas; granddaughter, Logan Elizabeth Holt of Houston; and great-grandson, Noah Edward Holt of Decatur.

A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur with Rev. Jim Dean officiating.

The family requests memorials be made to Wise Area Relief Mission (W.A.R.M), 300 N. Trinity, Decatur, TX 76234.

Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur assisted the family with arrangements.
