(July 26, 1927 - Dec. 7, 2010)Ann Gonzales Ramirez of Worland died Dec. 7, 2010, at the Worland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was 83.

Ann was born on July 26, 1927 in Powell to Encarnacion, Sr. and Josefa (Ramirez) Gonzales.

She received her education in Powell. On Sept. 17, 1947, Ann married Jose Ramirez in Powell.

In November 1963, the family relocated to Worland, where they have remained until the time of her death. Ann worked as a housekeeper for many years at various motels in Worland as well as for different families.

She also did babysitting at the New Life Christian Church during church services.

Ann was an avid sports fan, attending many sporting events locally. She loved to watch her children and grandchildren and supported them in their activities.

She was often found sitting under her little umbrella watching the Worland Indians play baseball. She enjoyed dancing at Mexican dances and spent some of her spare time embroidering or crocheting.

She was active in the Catholic Women's Council and was a caregiver of family or anyone else who was in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jose, in 2004; six brothers; one sister; two sons; and one daughter.

Ann is survived by her son, John Ramirez of Rockford, Ill.; daughters: Rachel (Joaquin) Garcia of Laredo, Texas, Barbara Monrroy and Diana (Florencio) Deniz all of Worland; brother J.R. (Helen) Gonzalez of Byron; sisters Lupe Cortez of Powell, Josie Gonzalez of Denver, Colo., and Angie (Jesus) Carrasco of Powell; grandchildren Jose E. Ramirez, Jesus A. Guzman Jr., Pompeyo Monrroy Jr., Jose A. Guzman, Gloria J. (Juan) Romo, Cristina E. Guzman, Amanda L. (Manuel) Gomez, Antonio N. Monrroy, Armando Deniz, Melissa Garcia, Adriana Deniz, Alejandro Deniz, Hanna Ramirez; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Reverend Ray Rodriguez officiating.

A rosary will be recited on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow the Mass at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.
