(July 2, 1943 – Nov. 14, 2010)Kenneth Ray Bullinger, a lifetime resident of the Otto area, died peacefully at his home late Sunday night, Nov. 14, 2010. He was 67.
On July 2, 1943, Kenneth was born in Greybull to John Joseph Bullinger and Marva Christiansen Bullinger.
Ken grew up on a farm near Otto, graduated from Burlington High School and attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie and Northwest Community College in Powell.
On July 13, 1962, Ken married Nancy Lee Adolf at the LDS Idaho Falls Temple in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Ken was a farmer/rancher all of his life in the Otto area. Ken loved working with his family and enjoyed doing photography.
Ken was a member of the LDS Church and was very active in the church. Ken held several positions of service in the church. He served as Bishop, Bishop's Counselor, served as an ordinance worker in the Billings Temple for the past 10 years, and served a Temple Mission in the Nauvoo, Illinois Temple.
Ken was also very community-minded and served as Big Horn County Commissioner for 12 years and was on the school board for Big Horn School District No. 1.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marva Bullinger; and two brothers, Larry Bullinger and Darrell John Bullinger.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy Bullinger of Otto; sons, Kenneth Bret Bullinger (Bridget), John Darrell Bullinger (Donna), Chris Adolf Bullinger (Christine), all of the Burlington/Otto area, Eric Scott Bullinger of Las Vegas, Nev., and Shawn Adolf Bullinger (Kendra) of the Burlington/Otto area; daughters, Tammy Lee Linton (Brian) of Lander, and Amanda Katherine (Cal) Bullock of Omaha, Neb.; brothers, Gerald Bullinger (Thelma) of Billings, and James Carl Bullinger (Margee) of Riverton; 32 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 19, at the Atwood Family Chapel in Basin, from 5–7 p.m. and a viewing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, in the Relief Society Room at the LDS Church in Burlington one hour prior to the services.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, at the Burlington LDS Church with Bishop Allen Gotfredson conducting services. Burial will follow at the Otto Cemetery in Otto.
A memorial fund has been established in Ken's name at Security State Bank, P.O. Box 531, Basin, WY 82410. Proceeds will go to the Humanitarian Fund of the LDS Church.
