(Aug. 25, 1945 - Oct. 28, 2010)Joyce Marie Gibbs Tryon, 65, died Oct. 28, 2010, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer.
Born in Buffalo on Aug. 25 1945, Joyce was the daughter of George H. and Katherine Gibbs. She married Clyde R. Tryon, March 17, 1962, and they had four children.
All her life she was a very loving mom, wife, grandma and friend. Joyce was a talented cake decorator and worked at many bakeries. Whether it was a birthday cake or a wedding cake, she always made it special and with love.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Viola Tryon and Mary Lou Bunting; her sons, Ron (Pam) Tryon and Will Tryon; her grandchildren, Ashli (Asa) Tryon, Raef Bunting and Raegan Bunting; great-granddaughter, Alexis LaBleu; and sisters, Georgia (Ray) Hall and Linda (Gordon) Christensen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde “Ronnie” Tryon; her parents; her sister, Celia Streeter; and grandson, Michael Jefferson.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 2, at Ballard Funeral Home in Cody, with a celebration of life following at Pizza on the Run in downtown Cody.
