(Jan. 24, 1934 - Aug. 8, 2010)Clara Mae Wall, a former Thermopolis resident, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010, at the Billings Health and Rehabilitation Community. She was 76.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 13 at 2 p.m. at Mortimore Funeral Home in Thermopolis. Burial will follow at Monument Hill Cemetery.
Clara Mae was born Jan. 24, 1934, in American Falls, Idaho, the daughter of William and Carolyn (Loundsberry) Hinrichs. She graduated from Bridger High School in Bridger, Mont., in 1952. She married Charles R. Wallace in Bridger; the couple later divorced.
As a young girl, Clara was a Rainbow girl and then became a member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed flowers, reading, and all forms of arts and crafts.
Clara lived in several mid-western states and was employed at McGlathery's in Powell, was a CNA in Thermopolis at the Wyoming Pioneer Home, and following retirement, served as a foster grandparent in the Hot Springs County School District.
Clara moved to Billings in 2004 to live with her daughter, Judy, and later became a resident of Parkview Care Center.
She moved to the Billings Health and Rehabilitation Community in June.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, George Wall, and a son, Michael Wallace.
She is survived by daughter Judy Miller of Billings; sons Carl Wallace of Glendale, Ariz., and Ray Wallace of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, John, Jenny, Christi, Mitch, Stefanie, Chelsea, Nick and Chris; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mortimore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
