Michael Lee Habeck died peacefully Friday, June 10, 2016, at his home in Lovell, surrounded by his wife and children. He was 67.
Michael was born Aug. 29, 1948, in Phoenix to Margaret Thomas and Fred Herron, and raised by Harvey Habeck. He graduated in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Michael married Bessie Ross on Sept. 16, 1967, in Sundance. They lived in multiple locations including Sundance, Worland, and Lovell, being employed and having retired from the telephone company. He enjoyed hunting, horses, and spending time with his family. He attended Heart Mountain Baptist Church.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Bessie of Lovell; son James (Dawn) of Lovell; daughters Michelle (Gary) Petrich of Byron, Faye (Shawn) Roberts of Billings; brother Bud (Cassie) of Prescott, Arizona; sisters Annie (Dave) Ziesel of Prescott, Marsha (Craig) Smith of Prescott, Sharon Habeck of Roundup, Montana; seven grandchildren, Katie, Kelsey, Jessi, Kaleb, Eli, Evan, and Kyle, and two great-grandchildren, Maddie and Ian.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Thompson Funeral Home in Powell. Burial will be in the old New Haven Cemetery, New Haven, Wyoming.
Pallbearers are James Habeck, Kaleb Hoyt, Kyle Hoyt, Eli Roberts, Shawn Roberts and Evan Habeck.
