Reta Jones, 57, of Gloucester, Virginia, died at her home with family by her side Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015.
She was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Sacramento, California, to George and Phyllis Berchtold. She was raised in Powell and attended Powell schools.
Reta worked as a caregiver for the elderly and retired from the Agency on Aging.
She is survived by her loving husband Ben Jones of Gloucester; mother Phyllis Brink of Yuma, Arizona; son Robbie Jones and daughters Athena Cunningham and Ashley Beauchamp, all from Gloucester; brother Robert (Jodie) Berchtold of Powell; two sisters Ronda (George) Schneider of Spring Creek, Nevada, and Renee (Neal) Doyle of Bloomfield, New Mexico. She also leaves behind three grandsons, Tyler, Jesse and Jeffery, and several nieces and nephews.
Reta was preceded in death by her father George and grandparents Frenchy and Doris Northway.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
