Roy Irvin Cavalli, 94, of Cheyenne died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at the VA Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Potter, Nebraska, and had lived in Wyoming since 1927.

Roy served in the United States Army during WWII.

He married Frieda Moore on June 16, 1939, refusing to set the date until she had her high school diploma.

He was a mechanic for Lew Broyles and Sons, retiring after 32 years. Upon retirement he started operating out of his residential garage, rebuilding carburetors, changing oil and rotating tires until he lost his sight.

Roy was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, spending time at the family cabin, trail bike riding, snowmobiling and playing cards. He was an avid University of Wyoming sports fan.

He is survived by two children, Barbara (John) Redmond of Cheyenne and Janet Blevins of Powell; daughter-in-law, Linda Cavalli of Laramie; sister Wilhamine Miller of California; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Frieda; parents, Gustav and Thersa Cavalli; son, Jim Cavalli; three siblings, Fred Cavalli, Clara Coonrod, and Alma Gardner; and a son-in-law, Darrel Blevins.

Life commemoration services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Yellowstone Baptist Church in Cheyenne.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.
