John E. ‘Jack’ Potter

John E. ‘Jack’ Potter of Powell died at the Powell Valley Care Center on April 24, 2015, after a lengthy illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbee and Emma Potter of Glasford, Illinois: identical twin brothers, Dean and Dale Potter of Peoria, Illinois; sister Betty Jane Jost of Mapleton, Illinois; niece Bonnie Lou Cusack of Brimfield, Illinois; and his only child Stephan Dan Potter of Peoria.

Jack is survived by his wife Dee Potter of Powell; niece Debbie Jost of Mapleton; niece Linda Neuenschwander of Cody; nephew Roger Dean Potter of Peoria; sister-in-law Mary Potter of Chillicothe, Illinois; goddaughter Racheal Lineberger of Wapiti; godson Royce Lineberger of Wapiti; and his tomcat Sirray.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, April 29, at Riverside Cemetery with Pat Montgomery, pastor of Cody Presbyterian Church, and Jeff Baxter, pastor of Union Presbyterian Church of Powell, officiating. Music was provided by Cathy Marine.

Ballard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
