Jamye Don SoRelle, 58, formerly of Thermopolis and Cody, died Monday, April 13, 2015, at his home in Worland.

He was born Feb. 10, 1957, in Denver to Nelson and Mary Hess Spence SoRelle.

He was the middle child of nine with two older brothers, two older sisters, one younger sister and three younger brothers.

Jamye was a hard worker all his life — from the young age of 6 when he delivered newspapers to his young adult life as an oilfield worker, right to the end of his life when he was working and caring for his property and the home he loved.

Jamye loved God and all the family God blessed him with, by blood or otherwise. He loved to fish and to grow his own produce, providing not only for his own need, but sharing with others and providing for their need as well.

Jamye had a “unique” personal relationship with God. He knew the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ personally and he extended the same to many persons throughout his life.

He wrote spiritual poems with words of wisdom, comfort and peace.

On July 11, 1998, he married Jeanette Verlee Hill in Beaver Creek, Colo. She preceded him in death in March 2014.

Jamye was a member of Risen Son Baptist Church in Thermopolis.

Jamye lived a simple life of faith and love, and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his eight blood siblings Layton Brasfield, Jack SoRelle, Nena Gallagher, Emma Littlefield, Patty Eulberg formerly of Powell, Beau SoRelle of Cody, David of Powell and John SoRelle and adopted sibling Maxine Hall of Craig, Colo.; eight children Nelson Layton SoRelle II, Kelly Jo Sharpensteen, Tony John SoRelle, Cynthia Adams, Katie Snyder, Kris  Snyder, Matthew Snyder and Elizabeth Haire; and nine grandchildren Carly, Christa, Jazmyn, Kriston, Lili, Annabel, Quanaleah, Quincy and Cassandra.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 25. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery in Thermopolis.
