Robert Carl ‘Bob’ Fink

Robert Carl “Bob” Fink died peacefully at the Spirit Mountain Hospice House in Cody on Jan. 9, 2015, at the age of 81.

Bob was born on Nov. 5, 1933, in Lovell, to Karl and Rose Fink. He graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle in 1952, and later joined the Army. After spending time in Korea, Bob moved to Chicago and began working for the post office. In 1967 he moved to Cody and continued to work in the post office until his retirement. In 1991 he moved to Arizona and later California. He lived in Banning, Calif., for 18 years before moving to Cody prior to his death.

Bob is survived by his sister Peggy Luthy of Cody; first wife Thelma Brookhouser of Cody; children Jeff (Nadine) of New Braunfels, Texas, Mike (Michelle) of Cody, Dan (Kristin) of Anaheim, Calif., Cindy (Jay) Blough of Cody, and Jerry (Tina) of Cody; and stepchildren Jennifer Monn and Carla Kregle, both of Phoenix, and 10 grandchildren: Sarah, Trey, Jenna, Taylor, Josh, Ryan, Aaron, Chris, Tessa and Liliana. He is also survived by his nephew Pete Luthy (Barb) of Gillette, Paul Luthy (Sandy) of Cody and many other extended family.

He was preceded in death by wife Phyllis of Banning, Calif., father Karl of Vernal, Utah, mother Rose of Lovell and niece Terri Ann.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cody with a reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Spirit Mountain Hospice House. Condolences may be sent to 6 Viking Drive, Cody, WY 82414.
