Arthur Althoff

Arthur Althoff, 74, of Ozark, Ark., and formerly of Powell, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, in Oklahoma City, Okla.

He was born Dec. 1, 1938, in Miles City, Mont. He was a retired major in the United States Air Force and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greenwood, Ark.

A 1956 graduate of Powell High School, he was a former high school teacher in Miles City, Mont.

Arthur is survived by his wife Julia of 45 years; eight sons Paul, John, Donnie, Ronnie, Tommy, David, Markus and Jordan; four daughters Kathy, Marki, Tonya and Jenny; one brother Al Althoff of Powell and Sequim, Wash.; 27 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 21, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Greenwood with interment at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark.
