Horse accident claims Powell woman

Kim Asay of Powell was killed Wednesday in a horse accident at her home on Lane 14 east of Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Asay's home.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene at 12:48 p.m., and Asay was transported to Powell Valley Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. However, according to Park County Coroner Tim Power, she probably died immediately at the scene.

Power said Asay’s son, her daughter-in-law and a third person were present when accident occurred.

Asay and her husband, Mike, are the parents of three sons, Klayten, Kanin and Kaleb.
