Wildlife managers, others allowing wolves to destroy game herds

Posted

Dear Editor:

Both the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and the Wyoming Game and Fish don’t practice what they preach. They don’t follow the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation.

We don’t see that science followed. It is ignored, all in favor of the wolf. And this mismanagement is destroying our game herds, the ecosystem for current and future generations; our heritage as owners of the Wyoming wildlife. Hunting is severely under attack now and no end in sight.

Game herds have disappeared from historic ranges, and numbers are a fraction of what they used to be, moving into other areas. This leaves very little chance to harvest game, to provide for our selves and families.

Historic winter range is virtually void of game, nearly eliminating the traditional shed antler hunting.

Wyoming Game and Fish and the USFWS, with activist judges and so-called animal protection groups are our biggest threats to our beautiful game herds and our heritage. It is nothing short of criminal and they don’t care. Shame on them.
